Real Name: Christina Maria Aguilera
Height: 5' 2
Hair: Light Blonde
Born: Born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York, USA.
Discovered: Christina knew early on that she wanted to perform. She appeared on Star Search in 1988 ' although she didn't win. In 1992 she joined the Mickey Mouse Club, alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Kerri Russell.
Resume: Christina began her singing career with a recording for Disney's Mulan, called "Reflection". That gave her enough notoriety to land a recording contract with RCA and to release her self-titled album and lead single "Genie in a Bottle". The single climbed to the top of the charts and stayed there for five weeks making Christina an instant teen idol. Her follow-up single "What a Girl Wants," reached number one status, as did "Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" and "I Turn to You". Christina released a Spanish album, Mi Reflejo, inspired by her part-Ecuadorian roots and a Christmas album, My Kind of Christmas.
Her next hit single came on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, a remake of Patti LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade", featuring Pink, Mya and Lil' Kim. Her subsequent album, Stripped, showed a more provocative image of Christina. The chart topping single off that album, "Dirrty", and the sexually pervasive video to go with it, created much controversy and media attention. Christina is currently promoting the "Skechers" footwear line.
